CHALLENGE COMPLETED
STUDENTS REBUILD
WINDSOR WATER WARRIORS
Co sponsor: Windsor West Citizens' Organization
OUR 1ST CONTRIBUTION
The Students Rebuild Program asked to have beads sent in for World Water Day. For every 20 paper beads made by our team and sent in funding is provided for 1 person to build a clean water source in Tanzania. The program goal is to provide 16,000 people with clean water. Our team members were invited to meet on March 18th and hand in their offerings. We contributed 6,208 beads to the total. We provided permanent water for 310 people. And we are still beading for the final deadline.
OUR LOCAL CONTRIBUTION
The person/ team that created the most beads won the ability to gift $25.00 to a local charity.
Nicole Bastien-Myers won with 1205 beads.
Nicole chose the Windsor Youth Center to receive the donation.
A second $25.00 was drawn from a hat, 1 ballot per participating team.
Team Jackie Reardon won.
The team chose The Bloomfield House to receive the donation.
Thank you Chris Easton,
for the contribution covering the cost of mailing the beads to their final location.
