I want to wish you and yours the very best for the holidays, and yes I said HOLIDAYS. For my own family the celebration includes Christmas and We Heal the World is a part of the celebration as I give We Heal as a stocking stuffer to my grandchildren. There is nothing more important than doing my best to make the world the healthiest place I am able, not for me but for the generations still to face the challenges the world has become. We owe them this. I appreciate each and every one of you taking this journey with me. The world is changed by our intention and our motivation.
In the international list there are multiyear programs represented and the numbers are the culmination of all. The local list represents only 2019. Me and numbers are not compatable so these numbers may not reflect complete accuracy but they are close. These numbers also say that of our $100.00 monthly budget we actually averaged giving $183.00 per month. I was not as balanced as I would have liked between Local and International this year as previously. This is the committment last year of funding 50,000 deworming treatments which is $500.00 U.S. a very big chunk out of the budget.
We spent $55.00 U.S. in administration costs last year. This was the price of our web site for the year.
2019 - The Numbers
International $1500.00
Local $1,298.00
Approximate donation total by members: $1,008.00
Many of the International programs are paid in U.S. funds including Planting Peace, Gifts that Give More and One Tree Planted, The exchange rate calculated at .25% adds a minimum of $400..00 to the amount listed above in International. And so very much of the past year the rate has been closer to 30%.

Every American penny raised will treat 1 person. These are the most vulnerable people in our world. Those who do not have clean water to drink. Voted most valuable medical program in 2013. These treatments flush parasites from the body within a few hours and last a full 6 months before needing another. Our first donation to this program was in August of 2015. Our donations go to Planting Peace

Free Rice
is a program of the World Food Bank. You answer questions. Each right answer generates 10 grains of rice. 250 grains equals 1 bowl. The organization receives the cash value of the bowl of rice. We do this through Freerice. In October of 2016 our total was 1,400. This was accomplished without costing 1 dime.

Quick Clicks
These are a gathering of links that allow you to contribute to charitable causes just by clicking a link. I have tried to collectively keep track but found that impossible and these are my own personal stats after clicking for 6 years. I estimated that I have clicked 1825 days (365 x 5) These represent only those that define what is given. ie. 50% of a bowl of dog food each day. or .6 cups of soup. There is much more to the story I just cannot define it in numbers. Again, the chances are that those gathering the funds do not monitor how the donations are spent. But if my penny is paying the phone bill, it gives someone elses penny the chance to get where it is needed. No cost. Just a few minutes of time a day accomplishes this.

88 Kiva Loans Made
Kiva makes loans to individuals that do not qualify for traditional loans. For $25.00 U.S. you will invest in a loan of your choice. The loans are paid back on a varied schedule up to 3 years in length or as minimal as 5 or 6 months. Many are paid on a monthly schedule. As you are repaid you can invest in a new loan with the credit or you can take your money out of the program. We have a partner in Cathy Gaudry who has been invested with kiva as long as we have been. Cathy has made 36 of these loans. We currently have $325.00 invested in Kiva.
Conservation
On September 24, 2018 Mukkoka was rescued after a 3 day search for the little calf that had been spotted wandering alone. He led them on a 5 mile trek. It takes hundreds of adopters to support the care of one little baby elephant but we are so happy to be a part of his journey. We have supported Mukkoka for our second year. Mukkoka lives in Kenya under the care of the Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation.
Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation
Meet Apollo rescued in late Septemberof 2019. We paid the adoption fee in Nov. 2019. Found beside his mother who had died of consuming an unsafe fungi. Apollo is also housed and cared for by the foundation. I am looking forward to growing up with these 2 and hope to continue to sponsor them for as long as they are housed with the Foundation.

One Tree Planted
We became involved with this program in August of 2019. At One Tree Planted you may choose a number of locations to plant your tree. The cost of 1 tree is $1.00 U.S. Three Canadian Provinces are listed: Ontario, Quebec and B.C or choose which continent/country you would like to donate to. These trees are to be planted in the fire zones recently experienced in Canada. You will receive a certificate and you may gift this to someone you know. I started to participate in this new program in memory of a friend. This one is for you Karen.
***Fees paid in U.S. dollars.
Our current total is: 140 trees have been planted. 132 of these in Ontario.
